Your mission:

Reinforce B&R’s tax team working on a variety of tax advisory projects for our clients.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assist with analysing and structuring transactions including tax research and preparation of tax structure memos;
• Determine potential tax liabilities and exposures;
• Draft and negotiate documents to help clients achieve their business goals;
• Handle correspondence with various official tax bodies;
• Create solutions using legal knowledge and commercial judgement;
• Work closely with other departments and contribute to B&R’s transactional, advisory and litigation services offer;
• Contribute to the Firm’s knowledge, assist with the development of templates and other know-how and presenting at internal and external events;
• Contribute to pitches and proposals.

Your profile: 

• Master degree in law and are registered as avocat à la Cour with the Luxembourg bar (preferably list 1);
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field, ideally in a Luxembourg law firm;
• Interest and experience in core tax areas including corporate tax, transfer pricing, WHT, VAT, etc.;
• Strong background of corporate law;
• Able to navigate complex legal issues and achieve positive outcomes;
• Able to tailor advice to the specific needs of the client, apply common sense and practical solutions;
• Fluent and spoken English and French, any other language will be considered an asset;
• Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills, immaculate drafting skills;
• High standards of ethics and integrity, matching B&R’s values.
